Spiced Persimmon & Pistachio Winter Oats

  • 1/2 cup dry oats
  • 1 cup plant-based milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of ground ginger about 1/8 tsp
  • pinch of cinnamon about 1/4 tsp
  • 2-3 grates of fresh nutmeg or a dash of pre-ground nutmeg



  • In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup dry oats (or your porridge grain of choice) with 1 cup of plant-based milk and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Add a tiny pinch of salt and simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes, adding water or milk to your desired consistency.
