Cozy Golden Oats w/ Caramelized Bananas
This quick, easy recipe for cozy, golden oats is topped with decadent almond butter and caramelized bananas. It's like a warm hug in a bowl.

or plant-based milk of choice
tiny pinch of salt
Golden Mellow Superfood Mix
or see notes
honey or maple syrup
unsweetened coconut flakes
mini chocolate chips
nuts or seeds
a drizzle of honey
Combine the oats, water, milk, and salt in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in the spices and liquid sweetener of choice. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the banana slices to the hot oil, and let them sizzle for a couple of minutes, until browned to your liking.
Flip them and cook on the other side.
Top your golden oats with the yummy caramelized bananas, drizzle with almond butter, and sprinkle with desired toppings. Enjoy!
Instead of the Golden Mellow Mix you can use:
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
